The “Mother’s Window” at St Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hamilton, was unveiled in 2015 to honour Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG, killed in Afghanistan in 2013. Designed by Christopher John, it depicts Governor-General Dame Quentin Bryce presenting the Victoria Cross medal to Cameron’s mother, symbolising both sacrifice and remembrance.
